Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) was established in New York City in 1979 by Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio. Charles Renfro joined in 1997. In 2009 Diller Scofidio + Renfro worked with BVN Architecture to produce one of the final six shortlisted entries in the design competition for a new architecture building at the University of Melbourne.
